With it's low crime rate and old world charm it is a quiet, laid back place to live, with locals enjoying the kind of community only a city like this can offer, while still retaining top notch fire and police services.

Naturally, Boulder City is proud of the high quality recreational facilities it offers, including Boulder City Golf Course, Boulder Creek Gold Club, Bootleg Canyon as well as a swimming pool, racquetball courts, tennis courts and several trails ideal for hiking that offer both visitors and locals lots of opportunities for different experiences.

In it's origin, Boulder City was established in order to provide housing to the workers building Hoover Dam. Completed in 1931, Boulder City was seen as the perfect city, a place for America to look to and find hope for a happier future after The Great Depression.

The original vision of the founders of Boulder City is still evident today in the family oriented area, and has remained a strong drawing point for new residents for the past 80 years.
